BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council for the City of Ames, Iowa: Section One. That it is hereby proposed that the right, title and interest of the city of Ames, Iowa in certain land constituting a residence and approximately two acres of land located at 1013 Adams Street in to the City of Ames, Iowa, said land being more specifically described as: Lot 1, Mary Adams Subdivision to the City of Ames, Iowa, said land not being necessary to city purposes, be sold to the highest bidder for and in consideration of the payment to the City of Ames of a sum not less than $125,000.00 and in an amount to be determined July 27, 2011, by public auction, and the granting back to the City of such easement for utility and other purposes as are deemed necessary by the city's engineers. Section Two. A public hearing on the proposed conveyance as aforesaid shall be held as required by law to coincide with the City Council meeting of August 9, 2011, which will begin at 7:00 p.m. in the City Hall, 515 Clark, Ames, Iowa.
