The Mayor presided and the roll was called showing the following members of the City Council present and absent: Present: Davis, Goodman, Larson, Orazem, Wacha Absent: Mahayni Council Member Davis introduced the resolution hereinafter next set out and moved its adoption, seconded by Council Member Wacha; and after due consideration thereof by the City Council, the Mayor put the question upon the adoption of the said resolution and the roll being called, the following named Council Members voted: Ayes: Davis, Goodman, Larson, Orazem, Wacha Nays: None Absent: Mahayni Whereupon, the Mayor declared the resolution duly adopted as hereinafter set out: At the conclusion of the meeting, and upon mote n and vote, the City Council adjourned. Mayor Attest: City Clerk 274 Page 2 RESOLUTION NO. 10-274 To fix a date for a public hearing on AMOCO Capital Match Revolving Loan Agreements in the principal amounts of$350,000 and$87,500. WHEREAS, the City of Ames (the "City"), in Story County, State of Iowa, did heretofore establish the Ames Transit Agency ("CyRide"); and WHEREAS, the City proposes to enter into two AMOCO Capital Match Revolving Loan Agreements ("Loan Agreements") in the principal amounts of$350,000 and $87,000 pursuant to the provisions of Section 384.24A of the Code of Iowa for the purpose of paying the cost, to that extent, of preparing final design & construction drawings for the Ames Intermodal Facility for CyRide, and it is necessary to fix a date of meeting of the City Council at which it is proposed to take action to enter into the Loan Agreements and to give notice thereof as required by such law; NOW, THEREFORE, Be It Resolved by the City Council of the City of Ames, Iowa, as follows: Section 1. The City Council shall meet on the 15 day of June, 2010, at the Council Chambers, Ames, Iowa, at seven o'clock p.m., at which time and place a hearing will be held and proceedings will be instituted and action taken to enter into the Loan Agreements. Section 2. The City Clerk is hereby directed to give notice of the proposed action on the Loan Agreements setting forth the amount and purpose thereof, the time when and place where the said meeting will be held, by publication at least once, and not less than four nor more than twenty days before the meeting, in a legal newspaper which has a general circulation in the City. The notice shall be in substantially the following form: NOTICE OF PROPOSED ACTION TO INSTITUTE PROCEEDINGS TO ENTER INTO LOAN AGREEMENTS IN THE PRINCIPAL AMOUNTS OF $350,000 and$87,500 (AMOCO CAPITAL MATCH REVOLVING LOANS) The Ames City Council will hold a public hearing to consider entering into agreements with the Iowa Department of Transportation for no-interest loans to fund the Intermodal Facility. This hearing will occur at a meeting of the city Council scheduled to begin at 7:00 p.m. on June 15, 2010, in the Ames City Hall Council Chambers at 515 Clark Avenue, Ames, Iowa. Diane R.
