RESOLUTION ACCEPTING COMPLETION OF CONTRACT
FOR GRAND AVENUE EXTENSION PROJECT
(SOUTH 4TH STREET TO SQUAW CREEK DRIVE)
FOR THE CITY OF AMES,IOWA
WHEREAS,the Public Works Department has filed a certificate of completion for the Grand
Avenue Extension Project(South 4th Street to Squaw Creek Drive) for the City of Ames, Iowa, in
accordance with a contract dated August 28,2007,by and between the City of Ames,Iowa,and Con-
Struct, Inc., of Ames, Iowa.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of
Ames, Iowa, as follows:
Section 1. The total contract for the Grand Avenue Extension Project(South 4th Street
to Squaw Creek Drive) has been fully completed by the Contractor in accordance with
the terms of the contract and is hereby accepted and approved.
Section 2. The total cost of the contract is $2,909,423.08.
Section 3. The amount due Con-Struct, Inc., of Ames, Iowa, is hereby ordered paid as
provided by law.
Section 4. All resolutions or orders or parts thereof in conflict herewith are hereby
repealed to the extent of such conflict.
ADOPTED THIS 9th day of February, 2010.
