RESOLUTION PROVIDING FOR THE AWARD OF CONTRACT
FOR PURCHASE OF WATER METERS AND RELATED PARTS & SERVICES
FOR THE WATER AND POLLUTION CONTROL DEPARTMENT,
CITY OF AMES, IOWA
WHEREAS, bids and proposals were received on the 23' day of April, 2009, for the
purchase of Water Meters and Related Parts&Services for the Water Pollution Control Department,
City of Ames, Iowa. Said bids have now been carefully analyzed.
IT IS THEREFORE RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Ames,Iowa,as follows:
Section 1: Award of contract is made as follows:
To Elster AMCO Water, Inc., of Ocala, Florida, in the amount of$116,969 with a
20% discount from the manufacturer's list price for meter parts and accessories.
Section 2: The City Manager and City Clerk are authorized to execute said contract for and
on behalf of the City of Ames, Iowa, and to affix the corporate seal of the City thereto.
Section 3: All resolutions or orders or parts thereof in conflict herewith are hereby repealed
to the extent of such conflict.
ADOPTED THIS 9`' day of June, 2009.
