RESOLUTION APPROVING MAJOR SITE DEVELOPMENT PLAN
FOR CONSTRUCTION OF 12-UNIT BUILDING
AT 3720 TIVERTON COURT
FOR THE CITY OF AMES
WHEREAS, the applicant is proposing to build a twelve-unit apartment building at
3720 Tiverton Court, and the lot will contain a single residential structure with four one-bedroom
and eight two-bedroom apartments; and,
WHEREAS, the developer is requesting approval of a Major Site Development Plan for
3720 Tiverton Court, which is located on Lot 5 of Northridge Heights Subdivision, 12'Addition;
and,
WHEREAS,staff has analyzed the applicant's request,reviewed the supporting material,and
conducted an on-site inspection, and, based upon the analysis, staff concludes that the proposed
apartment building conforms to relevant and applicable design standards,and that the proposed uses
and structure meet, with the conditions noted, the criteria and standards for approval; and,
WHEREAS, the Planning and Zoning Commission met and recommended approval of the
Major Site Development Plan, with the condition that the apartment at 3720 Tiverton Court use
stone or masonry material of a color and texture approved by City staff and that the apartment and
garages at this address use shingles or roofing material as approved by staff
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Ames, Iowa,
that the Major Site Development Plan for construction of a 12-unit apartment building at
3720 Tiverton Court is hereby approved, subject to the aforementioned condition.
