RESOLUTION APPROVING REALLOCATION OF UNSPENT
2007/08 PUBLIC ART COMMISSION FUNDS
FOR THE CITY OF AMES
WHEREAS, the Public Art Commission has submitted a request to carry-over fiscal year
2007/08 funds to be used for initiatives that will be completed in FY 2008/09; and,
WHEREAS,the Commission is seeking carry-over funds in the amount of$18,020.29;and,
WHEREAS,the majority of the funds are related to the Ada Hayden Park/Patrick Dougherty
Project,and Commission members are actively promoting public awareness and participation ofthis
project, which will continue into October 2008; and,
WHEREAS,in addition to the above,the City Council approved$13,000 in Ada Hayden art
funding during previous funding cycles, which was rolled into the FY 2008/09 budget, and has
subsequently been committed to the contract with Patrick Dougherty; and,
WHEREAS, that funding should also be carried forward into FY 2008/09.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Ames, Iowa,
that the reallocation of unspent 2007/08 Public Art Commission funds is hereby approved.
