RESOLUTION APPROVING WAIVER OF ELECTRICAL CHARGES
FOR USE OF OUTLETS IN TOM EVANS PLAZA FOR
THE SHRINE BOWL PARADE
FOR THE CITY OF AMES,IOWA
WHEREAS,the Iowa Shrine Bowl is planning to have the Iowa All-Star Game in Ames on
Saturday, July 26, 2008, at Jack Trice Stadium; and,
WHEREAS,as part of this event,the Iowa Shrine Bowl Parade will take place in the Central
Business District (CBD) on July 26,which will help kick off the days events; and,
WHEREAS, as part of the parade,the Ames Convention and Visitors Bureau is requesting
waiver of the fees for use of electricity from City outlets in Tom Evans Plaza; and,
WHEREAS, the electricity will be used for a sound system during the parade.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Ames,Iowa,
that the request to waive the fees for use of electricity from City outlets in Tom Evans Plaza on
July 26, 2008, is hereby approved.
