RESOLUTION NO. 08-128
RESOLUTION VACATING PUBLIC UTILITY EASEMENT
IN OAKWOOD SUBDIVISION
WHEREAS, with the platting of the Oakwood Subdivision, 2nd Addition, a public utility
easement was established between Lots 5, 6, and 7; and,
WHEREAS, these lots will be reconfigured with the platting of the Woodbridge Subdivision,
therefore, the easement is no longer necessary; and,
WHEREAS, there are not existing utilities and no intent to install utilities in the public utility
easement; and,
WHEREAS, maintaining the existing easements would impair the ability to develop the lots.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Ames,Iowa,that
the 10-foot public utility easement on Lots 5, 6, and 7 in the Oakwood Subdivision, 2nd Addition, is
hereby vacated.
ADOPTED THIS 8`l' day of April, 2008.
