RESOLUTION APPROVING PARKING LOT CLOSURE
FOR SUMMER CONCERT SERIES
FOR THE CITY OF AMES
WHEREAS,Olde Main Brewing Company would like to hold a series of concerts this summer
in the parking lot directly behind its building; and,
WHEREAS, the events will occur in CBD Lot Y north of the east-bound drive lane between
Kellogg Avenue and Tom Evans Plaza from 7:00 p.m.to midnight each Saturday evening from June 2
through August 25, and also on Friday, August 31, 2007; and,
WHEREAS,the business is requesting that the Council approve the closure of Central Business
District (CBD) Lot Y as mentioned above; and,
WHEREAS, the entire area will be fenced, and the business will clean and clear the area by
midnight each of the evenings; and,
WHEREAS, Public Works staff will provide five barricades for use in closing the portion of
the CBD lot affected; and,
WHEREAS,these barricades will be stored at Olde Main Brewing Company and be put in place
and removed by its staff.
NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Ames,Iowa,that
the closure of CBD Lot Y north of the east-bound drive lane between Kellogg Avenue and Tom Evans
Plaza for the Summer Concert Series each Saturday evening from June 2 through August, 2007, and
also on Friday, August 31, 2007, is hereby approved.
ADOPTED THIS 8th day of May, 2007.
