HomeMy WebLinkAbout~Master - Agreements for 20th and 24th Street railroad crossings RESOLUTION NO. 07-132 RESOLUTION APPROVING SURFACE IMPROVEMENT AGREEMENTS WITH UNION PACIFIC RAILROAD FOR STREET CROSSINGS FOR THE CITY OF AMES WHEREAS, surface improvements for at-grade railroad crossings appear in the Capital Improvements Plan(CIP) as part of the Railroad Crossing Improvements Program; and, WHEREAS,this program identifies and plans for surface and safety improvements made to at- grade railroad crossings with the City; and, WHEREAS, these agreements establish the expenses to be paid to Union Pacific Railroad Company by the City; and, WHEREAS,the City's contribution for construction costs of 20'Street is shown in the amount of$58,988, and for 241'' Street in the amount of$49,177; and, WHEREAS,financing for these projects is shown in the 2006/07 CIP from Road Use Tax funds in the amount of$137,500. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Ames, Iowa,that the surface improvement agreements with Union Pacific Railroad for the 20t' Street and 24th Street railroad crossings are hereby approved.
