HomeMy WebLinkAbout~Master - Waiver of subdivision requirements for 648 East Riverside Road RESOLUTION NO. 06-441 RESOLUTION APPROVING REQUEST FOR WAIVER OF SUBDIVISION ORDINANCE REQUIREMENTS FOR PROPOSED SUBDIVISION AT 648 EAST RIVERSIDE DRIVE FOR THE CITY OF AMES WHEREAS,the property owners are requesting that the council waive Subdivision Ordinance requirements for their proposed four-lot subdivision located at 648 East Riverside Road; and, WHEREAS, the proposed subdivision is located outside the corporate limits, but within the City's two-mile fringe jurisdiction; and, WHEREAS,on September 12,2006,the Council referred the request for the proposed Nacin Subdivision to Story County staff,and at that time,the applicant was proposing a two-lot subdivision; and, WHEREAS, the property owners later determined that they would apply for a four-lot subdivision,and on October 6, a pre-application conference was held to review the Plan to subdivide the property into four lots; and, WHEREAS,as a result ofthat meeting,it was determined that the proposal would be classified as a Major Subdivision; and, WHEREAS, through the pre-application conference, the applicant requested a waiver of Subdivision Ordinance requirements for residential subdivision landscaping standards,water supply, sanitary sewers, and storm water management for the proposed subdivision; and, WHEREAS, the Legal Department has prepared a Covenant for Assessment of Costs of Improvements and a Covenant Pertaining to Water Service, which have been signed by the property owners of the Nacin Subdivision. NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Ames,Iowa, that the request for a waiver of Subdivision Ordinance requirements for the Nacin Subdivision located at 648 East Riverside Road is hereby approved.
