RESOLUTION PROVIDING FOR THE AWARD OF CONTRACT
FOR PURCHASE OF PADMOUNTED TRANSFORMERS
FOR THE ELECTRIC SERVICES DEPARTMENT, CITY OF AMES,IOWA
WHEREAS,bids and proposals were received on the 24t'day of May,2006,for the purchase
of Padmounted Electric Distribution Transformers for the Electric Services Department, City of
Ames, Iowa. Said bids have now been carefully analyzed.
IT IS THEREFORE RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Ames,Iowa,as follows:
Section 1: Award of contracts are made as follows:
To WESCO Distribution of Des Moines, Iowa, for the purchase of transformers
manufactured by ABB in the amount of$75,520.00; and,
To Fletcher-Reinhardt Company of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, for the purchase of
transformers manufactured by Cooper Power in the amount of$102,428.00.
Section 2: The City Manager and City Clerk are authorized to execute said contracts for and
on behalf of the City of Ames, Iowa, and to affix the corporate seal of the City thereto.
Section 3: All resolutions or orders or parts thereof in conflict herewith are hereby repealed
to the extent of such conflict.
