RESOLUTION ACCEPTING COMPLETION OF CONTRACT
FOR WIDE AREA NETWORK(WAN)PROJECT -
FIBER OPTIC CABLE INSTALLATION
FOR THE CITY OF AMES, IOWA
WHEREAS, Burns & McDonnell, engineering consultants, has filed a certificate of
completion for the Wide Area Network(WAN)Project—Fiber Optic Cable Installation for the City
of Ames, Iowa, in accordance with a contract dated April 12, 2005, by and between the City of
Ames, Iowa, and Gaylord Construction, Inc., of Fort Madison, Iowa.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of
Ames, Iowa, as follows:
Section 1. The total contract for the Wide Area Network(WAN)Project—Fiber Optic
Cable Installation has been fully completed by the Contractor in accordance with the
terms of the contract and is hereby accepted and approved.
Section 2. The total cost of the contract is $376,830.00.
Section 3. The amount due Gaylord Construction,Inc.,of Fort Madison,Iowa,is hereby
ordered paid as provided by law.
Section 4. All resolutions or orders or parts thereof in conflict herewith are hereby
repealed to the extent of such conflict.
ADOPTED THIS 28th day of March, 2006.
