HomeMy WebLinkAbout~Master - Amendment to Major Site Development Plan for property in Somerset Subdivision RESOLUTION NO. 06-082 RESOLUTION APPROVING MAJOR SITE DEVELOPMENT PLAN FOR 2624, 2636, and 2702 KENT AVENUE FOR THE CITY OF AMES WHEREAS, the developers are requesting approval of a revised Major Site Development Plan for a 2.3-acre parcel of land located at the intersection of Northridge Parkway and Kent Avenue, in Somerset Subdivision; and, WHEREAS,the revised Major Site Development Plan shows three Village Apartment buildings at include 12 units in one building, 16 units in another building,and 20 units in a third building for a total of 48 units with five garage structures (to include 34 parking stalls); and, WHEREAS,the City's Land Use Policy Plan(LUPP)Map designates the future land use of the subject area as "Village/Suburban Residential,"which is consistent with the proposed changes; and, WHEREAS,the developers plan to construct the Village apartment buildings,garages,parking, and other site improvements in phases; and, WHEREAS,the Planning and Zoning Commission recommended approval of the revised major Site Development Plan at their meeting of March 1, 2006, with the following stipulation: 1. The developer shall submit a revised Preliminary Plat/Major Site Department Plan for the entire Somerset Subdivision development to document the changes that are included in this approval. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Ames, Iowa, that the revised Major Site Development Plan for 2624,2636,and 2702 Kent Avenue is hereby approved with the above-named stipulation: ADOPTED THIS 7t'day of March, 2006.
