RESOLUTION ACCEPTING COMPLETION OF CONTRACT
FOR MISCELLANEOUS MATERIALS FOR SUBSTATION PROJECT,
BID NOS. 1,2,3,4,AND 8
FOR THE CITY OF AMES,IOWA
WHEREAS,Electric Services has filed a certificate of completion for the Miscellaneous Materials
for Substation Project,Bid Nos. 1,2,3,4,and 8 for the City of Ames,Iowa,in accordance with contracts
dated September 9, 2005,by and between the City of Ames, Iowa, and the Contractors as follows:
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Ames,
Iowa, as follows:
Section 1. The total contracts for the Miscellaneous Materials for Substation Project, Bid
Nos. 1, 2, 3, 4, and 8 have been fully completed by the Contractors in accordance with the
terms of the contracts and are hereby accepted and approved.
Section 2. Bid No. 1 - Steel Transmission Towers at a total cost of $131,594.28 due
Valmont Newmark, Inc., of Tulsa, Oklahoma.
Bid No. 2 -Post Insulators at a total cost of$74,318.08 due RESCO of Ankeny,
Iowa.
Bid No. 3 - GOAB Switches at a total cost of$125,232.74 due Turner Electric,
Inc., of Fairview Heights, Illinois.
Bid No. 4 - Instrument Transformers at a total cost of$135,910.00 due Ritz
Instrument Transformers, Inc., of Waynesboro, Georgia.
Bid No. 8 - Lightning Arrestors at a total cost of $17,655.00 due WESCO
Distribution, Inc., of Des Moines, Iowa.
Section 3. The amounts due the aforementioned Contractors are hereby ordered paid as
provided by law.
Section 4. All resolutions or orders or parts thereof in conflict herewith are hereby repealed
to the extent of such conflict.
ADOPTED THIS 28th day of February, 2006.
