HomeMy WebLinkAbout~Master - Urban Revitalization Tax Exemption requests for 2006 RESOLUTION NO. 06-046 RESOLUTION APPROVING VARIOUS URBAN REVITALIZATION TAX EXEMPTIONS FOR IMPROVEMENTS PERFORMED ON VARIOUS PROPERTIES WITHIN URBAN REVITALIZATION AREAS WITHIN THE CITY OF AMES,IOWA WHEREAS, Tom Durkin has submitted an application dated January 25, 2006, to the City Council of the City of Ames,Iowa,requesting to receive an exemption from taxation on the actual value added by improvements to property located at 2622 Stange Road; and, WHEREAS,said property is located within the Urban Revitalization Area No.7 in Ames,Iowa, as previously established by the City Council of the City of Ames, Iowa; and, WHEREAS,the improvement proj ect respecting said property is in conformance with the Urban Revitalization Plan as officially adopted by the City Council of the City of Ames, Iowa, as well as the Land Use Policy Plan and Zoning Ordinance; and, WHEREAS, the improvement on said property was made during the time in which such improvements are eligible to the tax exemption as set forth in the Urban Revitalization Plan as adopted by the City Council of the City of Ames, Iowa, and as set forth in the Urban Revitalization Act as adopted by the Legislature of the State of Iowa and signed by the Governor of the State of Iowa; and, WHEREAS, said applicant is requesting Exemption Schedule: 3 Years. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- WHEREAS, Somerset Rentals,LC, has submitted an application dated December 29,2005,to the City Council of the City of Ames, Iowa, requesting to receive an exemption from taxation on the actual value added by improvements to property located at 2617 Northridge Parkway; and, WHEREAS,said property is located within the Urban Revitalization Area No.7 in Ames,Iowa, as previously established by the City Council of the City of Ames, Iowa; and, WHEREAS,the improvement project respecting said property is in conformance with the Urban Revitalization Plan as officially adopted by the City Council of the City of Ames, Iowa, as well as the Land Use Policy Plan and Zoning Ordinance; and, WHEREAS, the improvement on said property was made during the time in which such improvements are eligible to the tax exemption as set forth in the Urban Revitalization Plan as adopted by the City Council of the City of Ames, Iowa, and as set forth in the Urban Revitalization Act as adopted by the Legislature of the State of Iowa and signed by the Governor of the State of Iowa; and, WHEREAS, said applicants are requesting Exemption Schedule: 3 Years. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- WHEREAS,Max Dallas, LLC,has submitted an application dated December 30,2005,to the City Council of the City of Ames,Iowa,requesting to receive an exemption from taxation on the actual value added by improvements to property located at 207 South Third Street; and, WHEREAS, said property is located within the South Lincoln Urban Revitalization Area in Ames, Iowa, as previously established by the City Council of the City of Ames, Iowa; and, WHEREAS,the improvement project respecting said property is in conformance with the Urban Revitalization Plan as officially adopted by the City Council of the City of Ames, Iowa, as well as the Land Use Policy Plan and Zoning Ordinance; and, WHEREAS, the improvement on said property was made during the time in which such improvements are eligible to the tax exemption as set forth in the Urban Revitalization Plan as adopted by the City Council of the City of Ames, Iowa, and as set forth in the Urban Revitalization Act as adopted by the Legislature of the State of Iowa and signed by the Governor of the State of Iowa; and, WHEREAS, said applicants are requesting Exemption Schedule: 3 Years. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ WHEREAS,Keith D.Arenson as 4510 Dakota Ridge Condominium Association has submitted an application dated January 26, 2006, to the City Council of the City of Ames, Iowa, requesting to receive an exemption from taxation on the actual value added by improvements to property located at 4511 Twain Circle; and, WHEREAS, said property is located within the Twain Circle Urban Revitalization in Ames, Iowa, as previously established by the City Council of the City of Ames, Iowa; and, WHEREAS,the improvement project respecting said property is in conformance with the Urban Revitalization Plan as officially adopted by the City Council of the City of Ames, Iowa, as well as the Land Use Policy Plan and Zoning Ordinance; and, WHEREAS, the improvement on said property was made during the time in which such improvements are eligible to the tax exemption as set forth in the Urban Revitalization Plan as adopted by the City Council of the City of Ames, Iowa, and as set forth in the Urban Revitalization Act as adopted by the Legislature of the State of Iowa and signed by the Governor of the State of Iowa; and, WHEREAS, said applicants are requesting Exemption Schedule: 3 Years. NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Ames,Iowa,that said applications are hereby approved and the City Clerk is hereby authorized and directed to forward said applications and a copy of this resolution to the Ames City Assessor with a statement complying with the provisions of Section 4 of the Urban Revitalization Act by March 1, 1997.
