HomeMy WebLinkAbout~Master - Final Plat for East Hickory Park Subdivision 1 CITY OF AMES, IOWA RESOLUTION NO. 05-338 Accepting final plat of EAST HICKORY PARK SUBDIVISION, AMES, IOWA, and accepting the dedication of certain land for street purposes and utility easements WHEREAS, there has been submitted to the City Council of the City of Ames, Iowa, a plat of the real property hereinafter described and designated as "East Hickory Park Subdivision,Ames, Iowa"; WHEREAS, Hickory Park, Inc., as sole owner of said real property, has executed and acknowledged an instrument consenting to said plat; WHEREAS, it appears that said plat complies with all requirements of chapters 354 and 355 of the Code of Iowa and the platting ordinance of the City of Ames, Iowa; Now,THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of Ames, Iowa: 1. The City Council accepts and approves as an official subdivision plat to be known as "East Hickory Park Subdivision.Ames. Iowa", the subdivision plat of the real property situated in Story County, Iowa, described as: A subdivision of Lot 2 in Wheelock Subdivision of the Southwest Quarter of the Southeast Quarter as surveyed by Robert L. Stumbo, Jr. in May, 2002 and filed in the office of the Story County Recorder at Instrument No. 02-08438 an in Slide 136, Page 4; and the Northwest Quarter of the Southeast Quarter, all in Section 12, Township 83 North, Range 24 West of the 5t' P.M., City of Ames, Story County, Iowa being more particularly described as follows: Beginning at the South Quarter Comer of said Section 12, said point also being the Southwest Comer of said Lot 2; thence S89°48'46"E, 623.49 feet along the south line of said Section 12 and said Lot 2 to the Southwest Comer of Parcel A in the Southwest Quarter of the Southeast Quarter of said Section 12 as surveyed by Harold M. Jensen in April, 1998 and filed in the office of the Story County Recorder at Instrument No. 98-05289; thence running coincident with the boundary of said Parcel A N00°09'09"E, 112.76 feet; thence S89047'14"E, 175.04 feet; thence S00°1 l'17"W, 112.68 feet to the Southeast Corner of said Parcel A; thence departing said Parcel A S89°48'46"E, 288.54 feet to the Southeast Comer of said Lot 2; thence following the east line of said Lot 2 N00°15'03"W, 671.92 feet to the beginning of a curve; thence northerly and northeasterly, 651.91 feet along said curve having a radius of 1005.00 feet, concave to the east, and a central angle of 37°09'57" and being subtended by a chord which bears Nlr34'53"E, 640.54 feet; thence N00°15'03"W, 30.68 feet to the Northeast Corner of the Southwest Quarter of the Southeast Quarter of said Section 12, said point also being the Northeast Corner of said Lot 2; thence N00°15'03"W, 1310.43 feet to the Northeast Corner of the Northwest Quarter of the Southeast Quarter of said Section 12; thence S89050'19"W, 1304.83 feet to the Center of said Section 12; thence S00°29'38"E, 1306.52 feet to the Northwest Corner of the Southwest Quarter of the Southeast Quarter of said Section 12, said point also being the Northwest Corner of said Lot 2; thence S00°29'38"E, 1306.51 feet to the point of beginning, containing 72.45 acres which includes 0.82 acres of existing public right of way. 2. The City Council does hereby accept for street right-of-way purpose that certain tract of land designated on said plat and described as: Lot A and Lot B, East Hickory Park Subdivision, Ames, Iowa. 3. The City Council does hereby accept for utility purposes all other land designated on said plat for easement purposes. 4. The Mayor and Clerk are authorized and directed to certify and affix to said plat a true copy of this resolution in accordance with sections 354.8 of the Code of Iowa. APPROVAL BYMAYOR The foregoing Resolution having been adopted this date by the City Council, I hereby approve the same by affixing my signature as Mayor on this 9 th day of Aup,us t ,2005.
