RESOLUTION ACCEPTING COMPLETION OF CONTRACT
FOR 2002/03 TRAFFIC SIGNAL REPLACEMENT PROGRAM
(KELLOGG AVENUE/LINCOLN WAY)
FOR THE CITY OF AMES, IOWA
WHEREAS, the Public Works Department has filed a certificate of completion for the
2002/03 Traffic Signal Replacement Program(Kellogg Avenue/Lincoln Way)for the City of Ames,
Iowa, in accordance with a contract dated June 22, 2004, by and between the City of Ames, Iowa,
and KWS, Inc., of Cedar Falls, Iowa.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of
Ames, Iowa, as follows:
Section 1. The total contract for the 2002/03 Traffic Signal Replacement Program
(Kellogg Avenue/Lincoln Way) has been fully completed by the Contractor in
accordance with the terms of the contract and is hereby accepted and approved.
Section 2. The total cost of the contract is $136,904.40 and an additional $5,977.64 of
RUT funding to cover unforeseen easement costs of the project.
Section 3. The amount due KWS, Inc., of Cedar Falls, Iowa, is hereby ordered paid as
provided by law.
Section 4. All resolutions or orders or parts thereof in conflict herewith are hereby
repealed to the extent of such conflict.
