RESOLUTION APPROVING VARIOUS URBAN REVITALIZATION TAX
EXEMPTIONS FOR IMPROVEMENTS PERFORMED ON VARIOUS
PROPERTIES WITHIN VARIOUS URBAN REVITALIZATION AREAS
THAT WERE OMITTED FROM RESOLUTION 05-043 ENACTED
FEBRUARY 8, 2005.
BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Ames, Iowa, that:
Section One. With respect to Urban Revitalization Area #7 (Somerset Commercial Area),
applications for property tax exemption are approved as follows:
A. The application of Mullenbach Properties LLC for a three year 100%exemption for
2613 Northridge Parkway (tax parcel #05-28-492-110) is found to meet the
revitalization plan and is hereby approved.
B. The application of Erben and Margaret Hunziker Development LLC for a three year
100%exemption for 2603 Northridge Parkway(tax parcel#05-28-492-135)is found
to meet the revitalization plan and is hereby approved.
C. The application of Erben and Margaret Hunziker Development LLC for a three year 100%exemption for 2605 Northridge Parkway(tax parcel#05-28-492-130)is found
to meet the revitalization plan and is hereby approved.
D. The application of Alexander, LC for abatement of that portion of the property that
is used for retail commercial purposes(tax parcel 05-33-229-200 and 05-33-229-260)
for a three year 100% exemption, pursuant to Resolution 05-101, is approved for
2610 Northridge Parkway.
E. The application of D.B.Design and Floral LLC for that portion of the property used
for retail commercial purposes(tax parcel#05-28-492-090)for a three year 100%tax
exemption,pursuant to Resolution 05-101,is approved for 2619 Northridge Parkway.
F. The application of Somerset Rentals LC for abatement of that portion of the property
used for retail commercial purposes (tax parcel #05-28-492-095) for a three year
100% tax exemption, pursuant to Resolution 05-101, is approved for 2617
Northridge Parkway.
Section Two. With respect to Somerset Urban Revitalization Area the application of Hunziker,
Christy, Shirk Builders,Inc. for a three year 100%tax exemption for the property at 2755 Somerset
Drive(tax parcel #05-27-364-010) is hereby approved.
Section Three. The City Clerk shall deliver the resolution to the Ames City Assessor for action
pursuant to Code of Iowa Section 404.5.
