RESOLUTION APPROVING TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF WELCH AVENUE
FROM CHAMBERLAIN STREET TO HUNT STREET FOR
CONSTRUCTION ON WELCH CROWN CENTER
FOR THE CITY OF AMES
WHEREAS, staff received a request from Jensen Design Build to allow temporary closure
of Welch Avenue for construction on the Welch Crown Center at 217 Welch Avenue; and,
WHEREAS,the contractor needs to make utility connection in the center of the street; and,
WHEREAS, the closure has been requested for three days beginning May 16, 2005; and,
WHEREAS, staff agrees that closing this roadway for the construction is necessary and is
recommending that the Council approve the request for the temporary street closure.
NOW, THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Ames, Iowa,
that the request to temporarily close Welch Avenue between Chamberlain Street and Hunt Street on
May 16-18, 2005, to allow for construction on the Welch Crown Center is hereby approved.
