HomeMy WebLinkAbout~Master - Agreement for Southeast Gateway Project RESOLUTION NO. 05-034 RESOLUTION APPROVING AGREEMENTS FOR PROFESSIONAL SERVICES FOR THE SOUTHEAST GATEWAY PILOT PROJECT FOR THE CITY OF AMES WHEREAS,design standards and public improvements to enhance the primary entryway into Ames at Interstate 35, U.S. Highway 30, and Dayton Road, are underway; and, WHEREAS, staff proposes some additional professional services to assist the City in coordinating efforts with the ongoing development and other opportunities in the area; and, WHEREAS, as staff and the Iowa Department of Transportation (IDOT) have worked on finalizing precise locations for the lights and trees, it has been necessary to deviate somewhat from the general locations shown in the Concept Plan; and, WHEREAS,development activity in a larger area presents opportunities to finalize locations for lights and trees in this entire corridor; and, WHEREAS,processing with this project will require a surveyed base map of the rest of the project area by Fox Engineering and additional design services by Dunbar Jones Partnership; and, WHEREAS,the cost of these services in an amount up to$13,450 would be shared between the local cash match already received and the Local Option Sales Tax funds already budgeted for the proj ect. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Ames, Iowa, that the professional services agreements with Fox Engineering and Dunbar Jones Partnership for the Southeast Entryway Pilot Project in an amount not to exceed $13,450 are hereby approved.
