HomeMy WebLinkAbout~Master - Agreement for 2005/06 Collector Street Rehabilitation Program RESOLUTION NO. 04-423 RESOLUTION APPROVING AGREEMENT WITH IOWA DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION (IDOT) FOR STP FUNDS FOR THE 2005/06 COLLECTOR STREET REHABILITATION PROGRAM (NORTHWESTERN AVENUE FROM 13TH STREET TO 20TH STREET) FOR THE CITY OF AMES WHEREAS, the annual Collector Street Rehabilitation Program is to restore structural integrity, serviceability, and rideability, to collector streets; and, WHEREAS, the route chosen for the 2005/06 Program is Northwestern Avenue from 13' Street to 20t'' Street; and, WHEREAS,based on a neighborhood meeting, the project will completely reconstruct the street, matching the existing street width; and, WHEREAS,this project was chosen to receive Federal STP funding for eligible construction costs to a maximum amount of$720,000; and, WHEREAS, additional funds are planned in the amount of $480,000 from General Obligation Bonds for the local match and engineering/construction administration. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Ames, Iowa, that the Iowa Department of Transportation (IDOT) Agreement 1-04-STPU-036 providing up to $720,000 in Federal STP funds for the 2005/06 Collector Street Rehabilitation Program (Northwestern Avenue from 13' Street to 20t' Street) is hereby approved.
