HomeMy WebLinkAbout~Master - Phase II professional services for Southeast Entryway design RESOLUTION NO. 04-318 RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING PHASE II PROFESSIONAL SERVICES FOR ELEMENTS OF THE SOUTHEAST ENTRYWAY FOR THE CITY OF AMES WHEREAS, on January 27, 2004, the Council approved an agreement for professional services with Dahlquist Clayworks for the design of lighted sculptural elements for the Southeast Entryway; and, WHEREAS, David Dahlquist has experience with similar elements on Main Street and elsewhere in Ames; and, WHEREAS, the approved services comprised the first of two phases described in the agreement; and, WHEREAS, and these services have been completed, and staff is working with the Iowa Department of Transportation(IDOT) on the locations of these elements; and, WHEREAS,staff is now requesting Council approval of the Phase II services—design of light elements and other features at the Dayton Avenue/Southeast 16' Street intersection; and, WHEREAS, all of this work is included within the"pilot project"budget. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Ames, Iowa, that the payment of$5,000 for Phase II Professional Services by Dahlquist Clayworks for elements of the Southeast Entryway design is hereby approved.
