HomeMy WebLinkAbout~Master - Reallocation from Art Around the Corner funds RESOLUTION NO. 04-279 RESOLUTION APPROVING REALLOCATION OF $1,000 FROM ART AROUND THE CORNER FUNDS TO THE NEIGHBORHOOD SCULPTURE PROGRAM FOR THE CITY OF AMES WHEREAS,the Public Art Commission has requested that$1,000 in unutilized funding be reallocated from the 2003/04 Art Around the Corner program to the Neighborhood Sculpture program; and, WHEREAS, the purpose of the reallocation is to provide for the purchase of the "Orange Dragon," a piece of public art now placed on the southwest corner of Ames City Hall; and, WHEREAS,the Art Around the Corner Committee did not produce a promotional brochure for the Fiscal Year 2003/04 exhibit, resulting in the surplus funds. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Ames, Iowa, that the reallocation of $1,000 in unutilized funding from the 2003/04 Art Around the Corner program to the Neighborhood Sculpture program is hereby approved.
