HomeMy WebLinkAbout~Master - TSIP agreement for 6th/Duff traffic signals RESOLUTION NO. 04-084 RESOLUTION APPROVING TRAFFIC SAFETY IMPROVEMENT PROGRAM GRANT AGREEMENT FOR TRAFFIC SIGNALS AT SIXTH STREET AND DUFF AVENUE FOR THE CITY OF AMES WHEREAS, included in the 2004/05 Capital Improvement Plan is a project to replace the Sixth Street and Duff Avenue traffic signal; and, WHEREAS,to cover some of the costs of this$115,000 project,the City submitted a Traffic Safety Improvement Program (TSIP) grant application for $65,000 that Council approved at its February 10, 2004, meeting; and, WHEREAS,after reviewing this grant submittal,Iowa Department of Transportation(IDOT) officials have approved the request and submitted the agreement; and, WHEREAS,the City's portion of the project is anticipated to be $50,000 and is budgeted in the Road Use Tax Fund. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Ames, Iowa, that the Traffic Safety Improvement Program agreement with the Iowa Department of Transportation in the amount of$65,000 is hereby approved.
