HomeMy WebLinkAbout~Master - Waiver of subdivision requirements for farm land in Boone County RESOLUTION NO. 03-380 RESOLUTION APPROVING WAIVER OF SUBDIVISION REGULATIONS FOR APPROXIMATELY 157.93 ACRES OF LAND IN THE SOUTHEAST QUARTER OF SECTION 24,JACKSON TOWNSHIP, BOONE COUNTY, IOWA WHEREAS, on August 25, 2003, the City Clerk's Office received a request to waive the requirement for approval of a subdivision by the City of Ames; and, WHEREAS,the proposed Subdivision is located inside the two-mile jurisdiction of Ames, in the southeast quarter of Section 24, Jackson Township, in Boone County; and, WHEREAS, the subject property includes a total of 157.93 acres, and the property owners propose to divide the land into two parcels; and, WHEREAS,the applicants request that the Ames City Council defer the subdivision review and approval authority for this proposed division of land to the Boone County Supervisors; and, WHEREAS, Municipal Code Chapter 23.103(1)includes provisions for the subdivision of land in Ames and within two miles of the corporate limits,including the waiver/modification thereof. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Ames, Iowa, that the waiver of subdivision regulations for approximately 157.93 acres of land in the southeast quarter of Section 24, Jackson Township, Boone County, is hereby approved with the following stipulation: 1. That a Plat of Survey be filed with Boone County, which divides the land, as proposed, into "Parcel A" and describes the remaining land as "Parcel B." A legal description for"Parcel A"and for"Parcel B"must be included on the Plat of Survey. ADOPTED THIS 23rd day of September, 2003. C�A�?. Ly-d& Diane R.
