HomeMy WebLinkAbout~Master - Amendment to Development Agreement for Amethyst Place Subdivision RESOLUTION NO. 03-332 RESOLUTION APPROVING AMENDMENT TO ADOPTED DEVELOPMENT AGREEMENT FOR AMETHYST PLACE SUBDIVISION FOR THE CITY OF AMES,IOWA WHEREAS,the property owners of all lots in the Amethyst Place Subdivision are requesting approval of a Planned Residence District (F-PRD) Plan and proposed amendments to the adopted Development Agreement; and, WHEREAS,the proposed amendments to the adopted Development Agreement for Amethyst Place Subdivision describe the remaining responsibilities for the construction and financing of sidewalk and street improvements; and, WHEREAS,the amendments to the Development Agreement represent an effort on the part of the new developers of Amethyst Place Subdivision and the City of Ames to resolve a situation that has prevented the lot owners in this Subdivision from obtaining building permits; and, WHEREAS,the Planning and Zoning Commission reviewed this request at their meeting of August 6, 2003, and recommended approval with the following stipulation: -That the developers must submit a Letter of Credit prior to consideration by the City Council in the amount of $26,500 to cover the cost of remaining sidewalk and street surfacing improvements for British Columbia Avenue. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Ames, Iowa, that the amendment to the adopted Development Agreement for Amethyst Place Subdivision is hereby approved with the above-stated stipulation.
