RESOLUTION NO. 03-232
RESOLUTION APPROVING VOLUNTARY ANNEXATION
OF TERRITORY
TO THE CITY OF AMES,IOWA
BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Ames,Iowa,pursuant to Section 368.7,
Code of Iowa, that the voluntary annexation of land to the City of Ames described as follows and
shown on the attached map is hereby approved:
2200 Timberland Road, more particularly described as: Lot 9, Christensen's Timber
Lane Subdivision in Section 16, Township 83 North, Range 24 West of the 5th P.M.,
Iowa also known and described as commencing at a point 432 feet North of the center
of Section 16, Township 83 North, Range 24 West of the 5t'P.M., Iowa; thence South
88°50' West 82.6 feet; thence North 56°27' West 51.4 feet; thence North 74°26' West
85.6 feet;thence North 39°55' East 77.7 feet;thence North 32'01' East 100 feet;thence
North 13°34' West 425.7 feet; thence North 35 feet to the center of the creek; thence
North 8732' East 207.5 feet along the said center of the creek to the East line of the
NW'/4,Section 16;thence South along said East line 652.4 feet to the point of beginning,
containing 2.45 acres more or less.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Clerk shall file a copy of this resolution,map,and
legal description with the Story County Recorder, the Iowa Secretary of State, and the Iowa
Department of Transportation.
ADOPTED THIS 1 Oth day of June, 2003.
