RESOLUTION APPROVING ALLEY EASEMENT AGREEMENT
WITH PYLE OFFICE PARK PARTNERSHIP
FOR THE CITY OF AMES
WHEREAS, at its meeting October 8, 2002,the City Council directed staff to negotiate the
terms of an alley easement with the owners of the Pyle Office Park Partnership; and,
WHEREAS, staff has attempted to accommodate the needs of the office complex owners
through establishing an alley that will provide a new entrance off Sixth Street to the Pyle Office
Park, the site of commercial office buildings; and,
WHEREAS, the agreement clearly prohibits the use of the alley for egress from the office
complex, and the owners are expected to enforce this prohibition and erect signs to notify their
patrons of this fact; and,
WHEREAS, the adjacent apartment residents will still be allowed to use this driveway, or
alley, to exit from their residences.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Ames, Iowa,
the Alley Easement Agreement with Pyle Office Park Partnership is hereby approved as attached
hereto and made a part hereof by this reference.
ADOPTED THIS 22nd day of October, 2002.
