HomeMy WebLinkAbout~Master - Revised Master Plan for Northridge Heights Subdivision RESOLUTION NO. 02-544 RESOLUTION APPROVING REVISED MAJOR SITE DEVELOPMENT PLAN FOR NORTHRIDGE HEIGHTS SUBDIVISION(LITHE FARM),WHICH IS GENERALLY LOCATED NORTH OF BLOOMINGTON ROAD, EAST OF GEORGE WASHINGTON CARVER AVENUE, AND WEST OF THE UNION PACIFIC RAILROAD TRACKS FOR THE CITY OF AMES,IOWA WHEREAS,on November 14,2000,the City Council approved a rezoning of the subject site to"FS- RL" (Suburban Residential Low Density) and"FS-RM(Suburban Residential Medium Density); and, WHEREAS,the City Council approved the Master Plan for the Northridge Heights Subdivision on February 13, 2001; and, WHEREAS,the developers are now requesting approval of a revision to the previously approved Master Plan for the Northridge Heights Subdivision; and, WHEREAS,the changes being proposed to the Master Plan involve approximately 3.88 acres located at the northeast corner of Bloomington Road and Chilton Avenue; and, WHEREAS,within the 3.88-acre site,the proposed revised Master Plan contemplates 20 back-to- back single-family attached townhouse lots(Lots 1 to 20),four single-family attached townhouse lots(Lots 21 to 24), and one lot for the existing eight-unit apartment building. WHEREAS,the Planning&Zoning Commission reviewed this request at their meeting of September 18,2002, and approval of the revised Major Site Development Plan was recommended with the following stipulation: 1. That the conditions and requirements of the previously approved Development Agreement still apply. NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Ames,Iowa, that the revised Major Site Development Plan for the Northridge Heights Subdivision(tithe Farm),which is located north of Bloomington Road, east of George Washington Carver Avenue, and west of the Union Pacific railroad tracks is hereby approved with the stipulation listed above.
