RESOLUTION APPROVING ANNUAL CONTRIBUTIONS CONTRACT
AND HOUSING ASSISTANCE PAYMENTS CONTRACT FOR
THE CITY'S SECTION 8 SUBSTANTIAL REHABILITATION RENTAL
SUBSIDY PROGRAM LOCATED AT
SHELDON MUNN APARTMENTS
FOR THE CITY OF AMES, IOWA
WHEREAS,the Department of Housing and Urban Development(HUD)is requesting that
the Housing Assistance Payments(HAP)contract and the Annual Contributions Contract(ACC)be
signed in connection with the administration of the Substantial Rehabilitation Subsidy Program for
18 units located in the Sheldon Munn Apartments; and,
WHEREAS, the contract commitment is for a one-year period beginning September 2002;
and,
WHEREAS,this renewal would allow the City to continue to receive funds to assist eligible
low-income elderly and disabled individuals with their rental housing needs.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Ames, Iowa,
that the renewal of the Housing Assistance Payments and the Annual Contributions Contract with
HUD for the City's Section 8 Substantial Rehabilitation Program are hereby approved.
ADOPTED THIS 23rd day of July, 2002.
