RESOLUTION APPROVING CONTRACT AND BOND FOR
CONSTRUCTION OF
REBUILD GREEN NOS. 6 & 9 AT HOMEWOOD GOLF COURSE
FOR THE CITY OF AMES,IOWA
WHEREAS,this City Council has heretofore determined it advisable and necessary that certain
improvements be constructed in the City of Ames, Iowa, such project having been designated as the
Rebuild Green Nos. 6 and 9 at Homewood Golf Course; and,pursuant to notice and hearing,bids were
received on the 16t'day of May, 2002, as called for in the detailed plans and specifications as prepared
by the City of Ames Public Works Department and filed with the City Clerk on the 23' day of April,
2002; and,
WHEREAS, this Council has heretofore determined that the bid of McCubbin Construction
Corporation of Davenport,Iowa,in the amount of$77,683.95 is the lowest and best bid submitted for the
construction of said project; and,
WHEREAS,contract in the form provided in said plans and specifications has been executed by
said contractor, and satisfactory performance bond has been filed by said contractor.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Ames, Iowa, as
follows:
Section 1. The contract between the City of Ames, Iowa, and McCubbin Construction
Corporation of Davenport, Iowa, in the amount of$77,683.95 dated the 28t'day of May, 2002,
for the construction of the Rebuild Green Nos. 6 and 9 at Homewood Golf Course as provided
for in the detailed plans and specifications referred to in the preamble hereof, and the
performance bond of the said contractor with Colonial American Casualty and Surety Company
of Baltimore, Maryland, as surety thereon, in the amount of$77,683.95 filed in connection
therewith,be and the same are hereby approved.
Section 2. All resolutions or order or parts thereof in conflict herewith are hereby repealed to the
extend of such conflict.
ADOPTED THIS 25"day of June, 2002.
