RESOLUTION NO. 02-310
RESOLUTION APPROVING THE LONG TERM LEASE OF LAND BY THE CITY
OF AMES TO AMES YOUTH SPORTS COMPLEX,INC.
BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council for the City of Aloes, Iowa that the lease for a term of
twenty-three years by the City of Ames of its right,title and interest in land specifically described as:
An irregular shaped tract of land lying in the west 1/2 of Section 13 Township 83 North,
Range 24 West of the 5th P.M.,Story County,Iowa,more accurately described as follows:
Beginning at the Northwest corner of the Southeast 1/4 of the Northwest 1/4 of Section 13;
thence N 89°33'30"W,a distance of 82.50 feet;thence N00°05'30"W,a distance of 284.30
feet;thence N 84°46'30" E,along the south right-of-way of primary road No.U.S.30,as it
is presently established,a distance of 484.60 feet to the Skunk River;thence S 29°55'30"E,
a distance of 152.30 feet; thence S 11°19'00" E, a distance of 136.41 feet; thence S
05°56'36" W, a distance of 607.00 feet; thence S 11°13'29" E, a distance of 1012.80 feet;
thence N 76°11'29"W,a distance of 413.27 feet;thence S 24°54'48"W,a distance of 275.78
feet; thence S 37°59'22" E, a distance of 531.90 feet, thence S 60°07'51" W, a distance of

to Ames Youth Sports Complex,Inc.,for and in consideration of youth sports programs to be administered
and conducted by the'Lessee on the leased property.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Mayor is hereby authorized and directed to execute a quit
claim deed with respect to the above described land for and on behalf of the City of Ames,Iowa and the City
Clerk shall attest thereto.
