RESOLUTION APPROVING REQUEST FOR
SUSPENSION OF PARKING REGULATIONS IN THE
CENTRAL BUSINESS DISTRICT FOR DOWNTOWN DOLLAR DAYS
FOR THE CITY OF AMES
WHEREAS,the Ames Main Street District is requesting suspension of parking enforcement
for the Central Business District during its semi-annual Dollar Days Sale on July 25, 26, and 27,
2002; and,
WHEREAS,the Ames Main Street District will be responsible for the timely placement and
removal of the parking meter hoods; and,
WHEREAS, City staff is recommending approval of its request.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Ames, Iowa,
that the suspension of parking regulations in the Central Business District during the Dollar Days
Sale on July 25, 26, and 27, 2002, is hereby approved.
ADOPTED THIS 28th day of May, 2002.
