HomeMy WebLinkAbout~Master - Funding agreement for 2003/04 Arterial Street Rehabilitation Program RESOLUTION NO. 02-248 RESOLUTION APPROVING IDOT AGREEMENT FOR STP FUNDING OF THE 2003/04 ARTERIAL STREET REHABILITATION LINCOLN WAY(SQUAW CREEK BRIDGE TO BEACH AVENUE) FOR THE CITY OF AMES WHEREAS, the annual Arterial Street Rehabilitation Program is to restore structural integrity, serviceability, and rideability to arterial streets; and, WHEREAS,the route chosen for the 2003/04 program is Lincoln Way from Beach Avenue to the Squaw Creek Bridge; and, WHEREAS,the project was chosen to receive Federal Surface Transportation Program(STP) funding for eligible construction costs to a maximum amount of$480,000,and additional available funds are shown in the Capital Improvements Plan (CIP) for the local match of$100,000 from General Obligation Bonds; and, WHEREAS, although the actual project is not programmed in the CIP until 2003/04, it is necessary to develop the design ahead of time due to the extensive review processes required with federal funding. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Ames, Iowa, that the Iowa Department of Transportation Agreement for STP funding of the 2003/04 Arterial Street Rehabilitation—Lincoln Way(Squaw Creek Bridge to Beach Avenue) is hereby approved.
