RESOLUTION APPROVING REQUEST FROM GRAND JUNCTION, L.C.,
FOR 30-DAY TIME EXTENSION TO PLACE DIRECTIONAL
SIGNAGE FOR CARLOS O'KELLY'S IN CONJUNCTION
WITH THE LINCOLN WAY AND GRAND AVENUE
INTERSECTION RECONSTRUCTION PROJECT
FOR THE CITY OF AMES
WHEREAS,the City and Grand Junction,L.C.,entered into a temporary easement agreement
for the Lincoln Way and Grand Avenue Intersection Improvements project on March 29,2001;and,
WHEREAS,one of the stipulations was that the City would pay up to$10,000 for directional
signage for eastbound traffic on Lincoln Way to turn at Gilchrist Street to access Carlos O'Kelly's
restaurant; and,
WHEREAS,that stipulation will expire on March 29,2002,however,Grand Junction,L.C.,
has requested a 30-day time extension to complete revisions to their plans and install the new signs.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Ames, Iowa,
that the request of Grand Junction, L.C., for a 30-day time extension to complete the directional
signage, as allowed in the temporary easement agreement for the Lincoln Way and Grand Avenue
Intersection Reconstruction Project, is hereby approved.
