RESOLUTION APPROVING MAJOR SITE DEVELOPMENT PLAN
FOR WINDSOR POINTE APARTMENTS LOCATED AT
3709, 3725, 3803, 3815,3905,3911,AND 3917 TRIPP STREET
FOR THE CITY OF AMES, IOWA
WHEREAS, the developer is requesting approval of a Major Site Development Plan for
Windsor Pointe Apartments located at 3709, 3725,3803, 3815, 3905, 3911,and 3917 Tripp Street,
including approximately 4.62 acres of land; and,
WHEREAS,the site plan includes seven apartment buildings with 12 units in each building,
a clubhouse, off-street parking, sidewalks, and landscaping; and,
WHEREAS, staff believes the proposed Major Site Development Plan meets the required
site planning and design standards; and,
WHEREAS, the Planning&Zoning Commission reviewed this request at their meeting of
February 20, 2002, and approval of the Major Site Development Plan was recommended with the
stipulation that the developer of the apartment site provide written consent from the property owner
of land abutting the north property line for access to their property by the three proposed sidewalks;
and,
WHEREAS, the developer is no longer proposing to install the walk connections with the
property to the north, therefore, the stipulation from the Planning&Zoning Commission has been
fulfilled.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Ames, Iowa,
that the Major Site Development Plan for Windsor Pointe Apartments located at 3709,3725, 3803,
3815, 3905, 3911, and 3917 Tripp Street is hereby approved.
ADOPTED THIS 5t'day of March, 2002.
