HomeMy WebLinkAbout~Master - Neighborhood Improvement Projects for 2001/02 RESOLUTION NO. 02-140 RESOLUTION APPROVING EXPENDITURES FOR NEIGHBORHOOD IMPROVEMENT PROJECTS FOR 2001/02 FOR THE CITY OF AMES,IOWA WHEREAS,out of the$50,000 budgeted for Neighborhood Improvement Projects for 2000/01, four projects were approved for funding on August 27, 2001,which totaled$9,649; and, WHEREAS, staff solicited additional proposals for Spring 2002 projects to utilize the remaining funds ($40,351); and, WHEREAS, eight applications were received that total $21,148.50 in requested funds; and, WHEREAS,at this time,the City Manager is recommending funding seven of the proj ects;and, WHEREAS, it is recommended that the following projects be funded at this time: Kate Mitchell Playground: $ 2,386.00 Wilder Boulevard Streetscape: 2,800.00 Oak-Wood-Forest Neighborhood: 5,000.00 Roosevelt Playground: 4,880.00 Briardale Square: 2,500.00 Wisconsin Circle: 1,417.50 Harrison Road Neighborhood: 497.10 TOTAL: $19.480.60 NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council ofthe City of Ames,Iowa, that the expenditure of$19,480.60 for the seven above-listed Neighborhood Improvement Program projects is hereby approved.
