HomeMy WebLinkAbout~Master - Agreement for Procurement Card Services RESOLUTION NO. 02-131 RESOLUTION APPROVING AGREEMENT WITH BANK OF AMERICA TO PROVIDE PROCUREMENT CARD SERVICES FOR THE CITY OF AMES, IOWA WHEREAS, several months ago,the City began reviewing the possibility of using a purchase card program as a method to simplify purchase transactions for low-dollar maintenance and supply items; and, WHEREAS,this would allow departments more time to provide direct services and consolidate accounting and reporting functions; and, WHEREAS,after extensive review of other government procurement card programs and input from City department managers on proposed policies and procedures, it was decided that a purchase card program would be advantageous to the City; and, WHEREAS,a Requests for Proposal(RFP)was distributed,and five proposals were received; and, WHEREAS, Bank of America was determined to have submitted the proposal most responsive to the City's needs for this program; and, WHEREAS, the start-up costs from Bank of America for this program are $3,500 for the license fee for their Commercial EAGLS Internet reporting software and $1,500 for an on-site training session; and, WHEREAS, proposed amendments to the fiscal year 2001/02 operating budget include $5,000 for this program. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Ames, Iowa, that the agreement with Bank of America to provide procurement card services is hereby approved.
