A RESOLUTION ADOPTING NEW AND REVISED FEES
FOR THE CITY OF AMES, IOWA
BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council for the City of Ames, Iowa, that the following fees shall
be adopted or adjusted to recover the approximate actual costs of city services from those who use
and benefit from these services.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Ames, Iowa, that
fees shall be adopted as follows:
SECTION ONE. The following Ames Municipal Cemetery Fees are hereby adopted or adjusted
effective July 1, 2001:
Perpetual Care Fee: $0.20 per square inch of stone area
Schedule of Charges for Interments
Ashes $225.00
Infant grave 150.00
(not larger than T x 4')
Adult grave 450.00
For interments that require grave thawing add: 100.00
Saturday Interments:
Adult grave 560.00
Infant grave 185.00
Ashes 275.00
Add 40% if on a Sunday or City Holiday: New Year's Day, President's Day, Memorial Day,
Independence Day, Labor Day, Veteran's Day, two (2) days at Thanksgiving and two (2) days at
Christmas.

effective July 1, 2001:

SECTION THREE. The following License and Permit Fees arc hereby adopted or adjusted
effective July 1, 2001:
Newspaper Vending Permit 20.00/per vendor

SECTION FOUR. The following Public Works/Resource Recovery Fees are hereby adopted or
adjusted effective July 1, 2001:
Non Per Capita rate $56.00/ton
Out of County rate $112.00/ton
