HomeMy WebLinkAbout~Master - Allocation for land appraisals for properties adjacent to Hallett's Quarry RESOLUTION NO. 01-205 RESOLUTION APPROVING ALLOCATION OF UP TO $7,500 TO CONDUCT LAND APPRAISALS FOR PROPERTIES ADJACENT TO HALLETT'S QUARRY FOR THE CITY OF AMES,IOWA WHEREAS, in October 2000, the City Council approved a conceptual design plan for Hallett's Quarry Open Space/Park and directed the Conservation Design Forum, Inc., to complete a final Master Plan; and, WHEREAS, on May 22, 2001, the Master Plan was approved by the City Council and authorization was given for land acquisition; and, WHEREAS,the Plan calls for approximately 467 acres to be acquired and for the site to be developed into a passive, environmentally sensitive setting; and, WHEREAS, land appraisals are now necessary for three properties adjacent to Hallett's Quarry; and, WHEREAS, the properties are owned by the Jensen, Pasley, and Eness Families. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Ames, Iowa, that allocation of up to $7,500 from the Contingency Fund to pay for appraisals conducted on the Jensen, Pasley, and Eness properties is hereby approved. ADOPTED THIS 22nd day of May, 2001.
