RESOLUTION PROPOSING QUIT CLAIM DEED OF LAND
BY CITY OF AMES TO ARMSTRONG PROPERTIES LLC
BE IT RESOLVED,by the City Council for the City of Ames,Iowa, that it is hereby proposed to
convey by Quit Claim Deed such right,title and interest as the City of Ames has with respect to land
described as:
An irregular shaped tract of land that is located in the SE '/4 of Sec. 14,T83N,R24W
of the 5th P.M. Ames, Story Co., Iowa, all of which is more accurately described as
follows: Commencing at the S '/4 cor. of said Sec. 14, thence N 89°37'E along the
south line of the SE '/4 of said Sec. 14, 50 ft,to a point that is on the east R.O.W. line
of U.S.No. 69 as it is presently established, also known as South Duff Ave., thence
NO°04'40"W, along the east R.O.W. line of said U.S.No. 69,said line being parallel
with and 50.0 feet east of the west line of the SE '/4 of said Sec. 14, 512.85' to the
north R.O.W.line of Crystal St.,as it is presently established,thence N89°36'E along
the north R.O.W. line of said Crystal St. 600 feet to the point of beginning, thence
N 0°04'40"W, 406.25 feet; thence S89°40'10"E, 15.06 feet; thence SO`12'E 406.05
feet; thence S89°36'W, 15.93 feet, to the point of beginning.
to Armstrong Properties LLC, in consideration of four thousand, three hundred fifty dollars and
fifty-five cents($4,350.55),plus a deed restriction on garages being constructed no closer to the bike
path than 19 feet.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a public hearing on the proposed conveyance shall be held
in conjunction with the regular meeting of the Ames City Council on April 24, 2001.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that Resolution No. 01-136 enacted April 10, 2001, is
hereby repealed.
