RESOLUTION ACCEPTING FIRE STATION
LAND EASEMENT FROM
IOWA DEPARTMENT OF NATURAL RESOURCES
FOR THE CITY OF AMES,IOWA
WHEREAS, the state of Iowa's Environmental Protection Commission approved an
easement agreement to allow the City to construct a fire station on land at the State Forest Nursery
site on South Duff Avenue; and,
WHEREAS,the easement was recommended and supported by Iowa Department of Natural
Resources' staff at both the state and local levels; and,
WHEREAS,the easement specifies June 30,2002,as the termination date ifthe City Council
has not committed to construct a fire station by that date.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Ames, Iowa,
that the"Easement for Fire Station and Community Services Facility"granted by the state of Iowa's
Environmental Protection Commission is hereby approved.
ADOPTED THIS 27th day of March, 2001.
