HomeMy WebLinkAbout~Master - Modified Version of Transportation Plan RESOLUTION NO. 00-549 RESOLUTION APPROVING MODIFIED VERSION OF TRANSPORTATION PLAN FOR THE CITY OF AMES, IOWA WHEREAS, over the past two years, the community has been involved in a process of determining what the future transportation system will look like and what levels the system will provide for mobility; and, WHEREAS,the development of a long-range multi modal transportation plan is critical so that the community has a transportation vision that is linked to the Land Use Policy Plan (LUPP); and, WHEREAS, staff is recommending that a modified version of the Plan that removes the recommendation to reserve right-of-way for the extension of Grand Avenue south of South 16th Street; drops the development of Harrison Road from Stange Road to Grand Avenue,but connects Stone Brooke Road to Harrison Road; and includes the bikeway along the railroad tracks north of Bloomington Road going to Gilbert. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Ames,Iowa, that the Transportation Plan, with modifications as noted above, is hereby approved.
