HomeMy WebLinkAbout~Master - Approving Suspension of Parking Regulations in CBD on October 14, 2000 RESOLUTION NO. 00-475 RESOLUTION APPROVING REQUEST OF THE AMES MAIN STREET DISTRICT FOR SUSPENSION OF PARKING REGULATIONS IN THE CENTRAL BUSINESS DISTRICT AREA FOR OCTOBER 14, 2000, FOR THE CITY OF AMES,IOWA WHEREAS,the Ames Main Street District is requesting suspension of parking enforcement in the Central Business District(CBD) area from 8:00 AM until 5:00 PM in connection with their Fall Festival activities; and, WHEREAS,they have also requested the use of metered parking spaces along the north side of Main Street from Clark Avenue to Burnett Avenue for the Downtown Farmer's Market to hold a special Saturday Farmer's Market from Noon until 4:00 PM. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Ames, Iowa, that approval is granted for suspension of the parking enforcement in the Central Business District from 8 AM until 5 PM on October 14, 2000, and for the use of metered parking spaces along the north side of Main Street from Clark to Burnett Avenue from Noon until 4:00 PM on October 14, 2000.
