HomeMy WebLinkAbout~Master - Neighborhood Improvements Project Grants for 2000/01 RESOLUTION NO. 00-458 RESOLUTION APPROVING ADDITIONAL NEIGHBORHOOD IMPROVEMENT PROJECT GRANTS FOR 2000/01 FOR THE CITY OF AMES,IOWA WHEREAS,at the August 8,2000,City Council meeting,eight ofthe thirteen Neighborhood Improvement Project(N.I.P.) applications were approved for funding for 2000/01 ($21,947); and, WHEREAS, at their August 22nd meeting, four of the remaining five applications were approved for funding($10,650), and the Council agreed to allow additional time to the remaining applicant to bring their application into compliance; and, WHEREAS,the final application is requesting$2,500 for a project that includes removal of volunteer trees and dying ornaments from the parking along Moore Park,planting new trees and day lilies to enhance the steep bank,removal of trees and replanting on the Pinehurst Drive cul-de-sac, and repairing the fence between Moore Park and the Green Fifth; and, WHEREAS, this final application now meets the N.I.P. criteria and is being recommended for funding by the City Manager. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Ames, Iowa, that the expenditure of$2,500 for the above-listed Neighborhood Improvement Project is hereby approved.
