HomeMy WebLinkAbout~Master - Amended Park Zone Plan for Shady Grove Manufactured Home Park RESOLUTION NO. 00-318 RESOLUTION APPROVING AMENDED RESIDENTIAL LOW-DENSITY PARK ZONE PLAN FOR SHADY GROVE MANUFACTURED HOME PARK LOCATED AT 1006 SOUTH DAYTON AVENUE FOR THE CITY OF AMES,IOWA WHEREAS,the developers are requesting approval of a modification to the"RLP"Plan for Shady Grove Manufactured Home Park located at 1006 South Dayton Avenue; and, WHEREAS,the proposed changes to the"RLP"Plan will take place in the 24-unit addition to the Shady Grove Manufactured Home Park that was approved on September 8, 1998; and, WHEREAS, the proposed modifications to this Plan include the conversion of the existing residence with offices and a storm shelter in the basement into a community building/storm shelter with offices on the upper floor, the construction of a shop/storage building for the manufactured home park, and the creation of a new manufactured home space for a double-wide manufactured home with a two-car garage; and, WHEREAS,there will be no increase in density for this manufactured home park as a result of these modifications; and, WHEREAS, the Planning&Zoning Commission reviewed this request at their meeting of June 7, 2000, and approval of this amendment to the "RLP"Plan was recommended. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Ames, Iowa, that the amendment to the "RLP" Plan for Shady Grove Manufactured Home Park located at 1006 South Dayton Avenue to allow the addition of one manufactured home space,the construction of a shop/storage building, and the conversion of a site built home and office into a community center/storm shelter/office is hereby approved.
