Home My WebLink About~Master - Correction of Land Description for Voluntary Annexation RESOLUTION NO. 00-292 RESOLUTION CORRECTING LAND DESCRIPTION IN RESOLUTION APPROVING VOLUNTARY ANNEXATION WHEREAS,Ames City Council Resolution No.99-397 approving voluntary annexation of territory was filed for record in the office of the Story County Recorder as Instrument No. 99-14612 on October 29, 1999; and, WHEREAS,the description and plat of survey of the territory to be annexed by the said resolution contained an error; and, WHEREAS,the land surveyor has prepared and filed for record as Story County Recorder Inst.No. 00-04368, a corrected plat of survey and description that is attached hereto; NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED that the description of annexed territory stated in Ames Council Resolution No. 99-397 is hereby corrected to that description stated by the attached corrected plat of survey. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Clerk shall file a true copy of this resolution and attached corrected plat of survey with the Story County Recorder,Iowa Secretary of State,the Iowa Department of Transportation, the Story County Board of Supervisors, and each affected public utility.
