HomeMy WebLinkAbout~Master - Disadvantaged Business Enterprise Program for Federal Aid Projects RESOLUTION NO. 00-267 RESOLUTION APPROVING DISADVANTAGED BUSINESS ENTERPRISE (DBE) PROGRAM FOR FEDERAL AID PROJECTS FOR THE CITY OF AMES,IOWA WHEREAS, the City of Ames has received federal financial assistance from the U. S. Department of Transportation,and as a condition of receiving this assistance,the City must comply with 49 CFR, part 26; and, WHEREAS, this requires establishment of a DBE program for use on federal-assisted contracts; and, WHEREAS, the City intends to utilize the Iowa DOT's DBE program for FAA funded projects; and, WHEREAS,by adopting the Iowa DOT's program,the City will be administering the same program on all U. S. DOT-assisted contracts (FAA and FHWA); and, WHEREAS,the Iowa DOT has granted permission to the City of Ames to use the Iowa DOT DBE directory and has noted the City's willingness to participate in a United Certification Program. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Ames, Iowa, that the Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) Program for use in U. S. Department of Transportation-assisted contracts is hereby approved. ADOPTED THIS 13th day of June, 2000. .�-d& .4. Diane R.
