HomeMy WebLinkAbout~Master - Self-Insured Pharmacy Services with Outcomes for FY 2000/01 RESOLUTION NO. 00-249 RESOLUTION APPROVING PROPOSAL FROM OUTCOMES FOR SELF-INSURED PHARMACY SERVICES FOR FISCAL YEAR 2000/01 FOR THE CITY OF AMES,IOWA WHEREAS, the City of Ames has fully insured its prescription drug program for the past seven years; and, WHEREAS,the prescription drug market has changed dramatically over the past two years, and the City's actual dollar claims have increased over 22% during that time; and, WHEREAS,in anticipation of an expected increase in the insured rate for prescription drugs, staff worked with a representative of the Iowa Pharmacy Association to develop specifications for pharmacy pricing and services which would have the most benefit in curtailing the growth of pharmacy costs; and, WHEREAS, these guidelines were sent to various pharmacy benefit managers for analysis and recommendation; and, WHEREAS, after careful analysis of the proposals received, Outcomes Pharmaceutical Health Care was selected. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Ames, Iowa, that the self-insured proposal from Outcomes Pharmaceutical Health Care for pharmacy services for FY 2000/01 is hereby approved.
